Have been keeping this blog since 2008! It's a place to keep track of what I've read.

Twilight
This book is the hottest thing among high school girls. Not sure I get the hype. It's about vampires. The story is captivating....I kept reading until I finished, but it really wasn't that good. I just wanted to finish it!

Library Card!
I had let my library card lapse and now renewed it and spent some time in the library, taking out more books than I will read. But, it was an inspiring experience for me!

The Reader
Just finished this book. Read in one day. Saw the movie trailer so wanted to make sure that I read the book before the movie came out. Really liked it. Lot of cerebral passages, but a compelling story.

Michael Chabon
Tried the Yiddish Policeman's Union and just didn't get into it. Maybe too much going on to concentrate. Need an easy read right now. But I am reading Daniel Pink's book about Left vs Right brain and it's wonderful and fascinating. Reading work-related books mainly. Also one on 1:1 laptop programs, published by ISTE.

What I've Read Lately
"Skylight Confessions" by Alice Hoffman, "Falling Man" by Don DeLillo and now finishing "Tales from the Scriptorium" by Paul Auster.
None of these books thrilled me. The Alice Hoffman certainly entertained, DeLillo was disturbing and Auster is very very Auster.
Looking forward to a great new book!

Too Many Books, Not Enough Time
I just keep adding books that I want to read and not finishing the one I am on now, so I can move on to the next! It's frustrating......

What I'm Reading Now
Girls Like Us about Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King.
Footnote: Never finished this book! Liked it but just never finished, but it's the kind of book you can go back to anytime.
